Francesco Vincenzo knew from the time he was a young man that he wanted a coffee shop, a meeting place to call his own. Born in Calabria, Italy and raised in the Italian district in Montreal, in 1971 Francesco came to the beautiful city of Vancouver. In 1976, he established Caffee Calabria in the heart of Little Italy on Commercial Drive.
There never has been a man more passionate about the bean than Francesco, the coffee genius of Vancouver. Coffee lovers have been wooed by Vincenzo and his three sons with rapturous Italian songs, Roman statues, Sistine Chapel-esque ceilings, fabulous focaccia, biscotti and short Italian philosophy lessons from Frank.
